MORAINE LAKE

A glacially fed lake in Banff National Park which sits 14 kilometres outside the Village of Lake Louise, in the Valley of the Ten Peaks. A must see!

LAKE LOUISE

A hamlet in Banff National Park known for its turquoise, glacier-fed lake ringed by high peaks and overlooked by a stately chateau. Hiking trails wind up to the Lake Agnes Tea House for bird's-eye views. There's a canoe dock in summer, and a skating rink on the frozen lake in winter.

One of the most popular day hikes in Banff National Park. It’s fairly easy, making it perfect for families and people of almost any fitness level and age.

BANFF UPPER HOT SPRINGS

Soak in the steamy hot mineral water where travellers have come to ‘take the waters’ for over a hundred years. At 1,585 meters of elevation (5,200 feet), this location is the highest hot spring in Canada.

Those amazing postcard pictures you see are not enhanced! In fact, it could be said that this is one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. It can be best viewed from the Bow Summit along the Columbia Icefields Parkway.

The adventure begins with a ride onto the surface of the Athabasca Glacier in the all-terrain Ice Explorer – a massive vehicle specially designed for glacier travel. This site must be seen on a tour and can not be done on your own. You can also see the Glacier Skywalk on the same tour!

CAVE AND BASIN HISTORICAL SITE

The Cave and Basin National Historic Site of Canada commemorates the birthplace of Canada's National Park system, which began here in 1885. The growth and development of Canada's national parks are celebrated in interactive displays and exhibits. Naturally occurring, warm mineral springs can be found inside the cave, and outside in an emerald coloured basin.

BOW LAKE

One of the largest lakes in Banff National Park and a great place for a picnic and short stroll. It is especially beautiful at sunrise with the sun glancing off its massive walls. Those wishing a 3+ hour hike (4 miles) and not wanting too much elevation rise can see the lake, a rocky gorge, alpine meadows and finally a vista of Bow Glacier and waterfall.

MALIGNE LAKE/SPIRIT ISLAND

Maligne Lake is a lake in Jasper National Park. It is famed for the colour of its water, the surrounding peaks, the three glaciers visible from the lake and Spirit Island, a frequently photographed islet.

Athabasca Falls is a waterfall in Jasper National Park on the upper Athabasca River, approximately 30 kilometres south of the townsite of Jasper, and just west of the Icefields Parkway.

Emerald Lake is located in Yoho National Park, British Columbia. It is the largest of Yoho's 61 lakes and ponds, as well as one of the park's premier tourist attractions. Located approximately one hour from Banff.
